Mariam Mghebrishvili- a student of School Education, Humanities and Social Sciences Participated in The Erasmus+ Exchange Program of the Canary Islands.
I am a junior student of the #IBSU BA English Philology program and participated in the Erasmus + exchange program in Las Palmas De Gran Canaria, Canary Island , at Universidad Del Atlántico Medio (#UNAM).
My home university, #IBSU, played an important role in facilitating my Erasmus Exchange. They provided essential guidance, support, and resources throughout the application process and ensured a smooth transition to the #UNAM. One of the highlights of my experience was the internship at Bridges International School. As a teacher assistant, I had the opportunity to engage with students from different backgrounds, contribute to classroom activities, and gain valuable insights into the education system. This hands-on experience not only enhanced my teaching skills but also broadened my understanding of cultural diversity in education.
Moreover, I was participating in Erasmus Spanish language courses. These courses provided a solid foundation for language proficiency, from mastering basic conversational skills it helped me to continue my studies in Georgia as well. Beyond academics, my time in Las Palmas De Gran Canaria exposed me to a rich part of culture and traditions.
From vibrant festivals like Carnaval de Las Palmas to exploring historical sites, every moment was a celebration of heritage and diversity. I forged lasting connections with fellow Erasmus students, residents, and faculty members, creating a network of global friendships and cultural exchange opportunities. Overall, my Erasmus Exchange Experience was a transformative journey that broadened my perspectives, improved my skills, and fostered lifelong connections.”
