Mariam Banetishvili a student of School Education, Humanities and Social Sciences Participated in The Virtual Exchange of the University of Deusto (Spain)

“Hello! I am Mariam Banetishvili, 20 years old, a student of English-language international relations at IBSU. I want to share with you some happy student news.

Since childhood, I have had one goal – to get a higher education abroad. Last semester, in my second year, I received a letter from IBSU informing me about my first online exchange program in Spain. I did not think much, I accepted the new challenge and development opportunity with great joy. It’s an amazing feeling to study in an environment where students from almost every country in the world come together with different time zones. I currently live in one big global world, where I understand what peers who are very far away from me think and see the world. An IBSU student is no stranger to dealing with foreign lecturers, although I have not had contact with Spanish lecturers before. I can honestly say that I have made a lot of progress in this short time thanks to them.

Western Europe and the education here became even more attractive to me. During the online exchange program, I became more aware of what I want, what pace and attitude I need for my student life.

I really want to be a part of the global world and for that I took another new step: after another notification from the university, this time the door of exchange programs opened in France and I will spend the next academic semester in the city of Paris, where I will study international management. My current Paris students are looking forward to my arrival there. I am also doubly motivated. I believe in my abilities and in IBSU, which constantly cares for the support and development of students.”
