Mari Lomuashvili participated in Kozminski University International Summer School Mari Lomuashvili

Hello, my name is Mari Lomuashvili, a junior law student at International Black Sea University.
I had information about various IBSU exchange programs and international projects before enrolling in the university. I have always thought that international experience is especially important for the legal professions, so I was glad that while still at the undergraduate level, at the end of my sophomore year, IBSU Law School gave me as a student with high grades, the opportunity to attend a few weeks at the International Summer School of Kozminski University in Poland and take the EU Insurance Law course, which is my area of interest.
The experience gained from the summer school is great and the impressions are unforgettable. Apart from making a lot of friends from different European countries and further improving my general and professional English, the school increased my self-confidence and encouraged me to get involved in more international projects.
I remember the first court proceeding of the Kozminski Summer School and my excitement, how well the Georgian defendants could have challenged the Italian plaintiffs and annulled their claim for damages. I am glad that we properly presented our Georgian team in trial, discussed the legal basis of the lawsuit correctly, and were strong opponents.
I remember lectures were always integrated – students from different countries had the opportunity to share the laws of our countries, case law, and make a comparative analysis based on the shared information. In my opinion, this is a unique practical knowledge, which you can get only by engaging in a similar project. I am glad that the International Black Sea University offers a wide range of such opportunities, I plan to participate in the IBSU exchange program in the near future, and the experience of Kozminski Summer School will definitely help me.
