International Black Sea University hosted the conference titled “Georgia at the Crossroads of Empires: Politics, Society, Time, and Narratives of Georgian Integration,” organized by the #IBSU Multidisciplinary Research Center with the support of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia.

The conference focused on the influence and results of empires in the context of the centuries-old statehood of Georgia. Georgian and foreign researchers from France, Italy, Iran, Poland, Azerbaijan, and Qatar took part in the conference, with IBSU professors giving a report.

The study of the influence and politics of global states is considered a topical issue in modern sciences, echoing Georgia’s political objectives and perspectives.
