Ani Kerashvilia a student of School Business Participated in Eramus+ Program of the Kozminski University.
I am Ani Kerashvili, 19 years old, a second-year student at the International Black Sea University. I am currently in Warsaw, on the Erasmus + exchange program. I am happy that, despite the pandemic, I was given the opportunity to study at one of the leading private universities in Europe, which ranks first in the ranking of Polish universities.
From the day I enrolled in IBSU, I had a goal to get an education at a university in a foreign country, which the International Black Sea University provides. In 2020, I took part in the exchange program announced by IBSU for the first time, despite the high competition, I successfully passed the relevant stages and now I am spending the spring semester of my second year at Kozminski University.
Student life at Kozminski University is truly unique and interesting. Despite the fact that the learning process is conducted remotely, the university still made a great impression on me. Most of the lectures are focused on practical work, which makes the learning process more fun and effective. Lecturers actively use the bonus system, which allows to accumulate enough points without passing the final exams. Also, I should mention that there is a separate program for online exams that controls the effectiveness of the exam as much as possible.
As for the country in general, I would like to tell you that the preserved old appearance of the capital creates a fabulous environment and accurately conveys the centuries-old history of Poland, which is charmingly combined with the modern architecture of the country. In Warsaw, the covid restrictions are being loosened day by day, and I am also trying to better discover and get to know this country, by visiting various important places, which will make the period of my stay here more memorable. Despite the pandemic, I met a lot of people, this way, I made foreign friends who are distinguished by their knowledge and thinking. They are incredibly free and hardworking. Indeed, there is nothing more exciting than meeting a representative of another country and sharing information about your culture and important global issues.
When you are alone in a foreign country, you face many challenges and you have to overcome these obstacles on your own, which makes you grow as a person and gives you confidence. Studying at Kozminski University has given me other new and long-term goals, and in the future I will try my best to develop myself and achieve these goals.
Finally, I would like to thank Black Sea International University for this opportunity and all the people who stand by my side.
P.S. Here, I want to tell you a story. In order to get to know each other better at one of the meetings of the dating week at Kozminski University, we were all asked to name our country and city. The students started listing their cities, Paris, Milan, etc. As the youngest student, it was my turn. I also straightened my shoulders and said that I was from Georgia, from the city of Tsnori. I’m telling this story because I want you to believe in yourself, in your abilities, don’t miss any chance, and you’ll definitely achieve everything that you think is unthinkable today.
These months spent in Warsaw will remain the best memories of my life.
