Tinatin Gigauri a student of School Education, Humanities and Social Sciences Participated in The Bilateral Exchange Program of the University of Szeged.

Tinatin Gigauri, a student who went abroad through the International Black Sea University exchange program from Budapest, shares her blog post:
“I’m Tinatin Gigauri. I’m writing this monologue from Budapest as a student at one of Hungary’s leading universities.
How did I get to the University of Szeged? through the exchange program of the International Black Sea University I am the first student who came here to Hungary within the framework of the bilateral agreement signed between the International Black Sea University and the University of Szeged.
I must mention that this was not the first attempt to participate in the exchange program. In the spring semester of 2020, again with the support of the IBSU administration, I enrolled at the Beijing Institute of Technology, but unfortunately, due to the covid outbreak in the country, I and many other students had to decline this opportunity. However, with the new academic year came new opportunities, and finally, despite complications and several months of nervousness, I am already in Hungary, spending the last spring semester of my university here.
In the Hungarian university, your work and the time spent on it are highly respected. If you work hard throughout the semester, it will definitely pay off. In some cases, the exam is not mandatory to pass the subject, moreover, it depends on your choice. If during the semester, due to a number of reasons, you are not able to be an active student, you are given the opportunity to start the fight for the final grade from scratch through the exam.
I think such an approach is more practical and valid if you want to see the real fruits of the energy and knowledge invested in students.
As for Hungary, I like how they take care and try to preserve the old look of the cities. Even the capital is divided into two parts: Buda, where you rarely see tall, modern buildings made of glass, and Pest, which is entirely an industrial and business center. Budapest is the most beautiful at night, with streets lit by yellow lights and architectural masterpieces from previous centuries.”
